About Kellie Kennedy

Kellie has never been very good at talking about herself, she likes to let her characters talk for her but we were able to sit her down and get a few words about who she is, what she likes and why she writes what she does. So here it is.

Kellie was born in London and moved to Derby in her 20’s after a year of dating her now husband. They got married in Jamaica with their nearest and dearest around them. Unfortunately Kellie then had to spend her first Christmas as a wife in Germany when her father was taken ill on holiday.

There have been a lot of ups and downs in Kellie’s life and some might even make it into her books. She had been writing since she was a child and was a voracious reader but didn’t get in to fantasy and romance until she was a teenager. She remembers the day she picked up a copy of Dragonsong by Anne Maccfrey when she was 14, the book was nestled in the book cases of her aunt's spare room and from that day forth she has read as much as she could.

Now she has started completing the stories in her head and is publishing them ready for everyone to read. Going Home this Christmas was the first book she published independently and she has spent the years after that learning from that experience and is now ready to publish her next book and the first in a series.
